ICH FREUE MICH IM HOCKENHEIM ZU SEIN

Q1 9.086 148

Q2 4.852 444

Q3 4.886 472

Q4 4.800 482

E1 4.826 460

After all, the hard work we have done, finally pays back.

As we all know, never give up. Just work harder and the sun will shine eventually.

At Mantorp I already had very strong confident in our dragster. Even before 4,05 run. The way the crew was working together was so smooth and efficient. And the best part is the extremely good atmosphere under our awning.

And the same goes at Hockenheim.

After Q2 I told Sami the car was pretty restless at the far end. Sami took his screwdriver, adjusted and twisted few nuts and buttons and then the car went straight like a train in Q3 run. I couldn´t believe what a difference Sami was able to do in car´s behaviour. What a knowledge my crew chief has!

Nothing hold us any more and Q4 4,800 made me the fastest in Vilppula and in the whole Finland (new Finnish record) Tommi´s best ever 4,83 was all in history. Oh boy; how often I have heard, who is the fastest in Vilppula...:) Pay back time!

I guess on Saturday in the Night Show the game plan was to take the tittle back. The car was tuned to run faster than ever, because it was expected the track to get better by cooler air. Tommi lost the traction, which spoiled his dream to hit my numbers.

On Sunday we supposed to meet Timo Lehtimäki in the first round. After burn out I was signed to have a bye run. The car launched and run well, and I didn´t want to stop before the finish line. I know, it is not worth of breaking parts in bye run, but I have got so few runs this season, I didn´t want to miss this opportunity. And I need these high speed experiences on good tracks. What a feeling to run fast and everything works well. I just want more this!!! So 4.826 / 460 and Sami wasn´t too upset :)

Then the rain came and the race was cancelled.

There was, of course, a lot of moaning about the weather. But I enjoy and appreciate what we had done. That´s why I took everything out the good moment.

Like I said at the prize giving ceremony, all the thanks and the honour belong to my excellent crew. Thank you Sami, Kevin, Jarkko, Juha, Janne, Jukka, Juha, Johannes, Jari, Kristiina, Carita and my dear Tommi.

Now I´m just counting the days to Santa Pod. See you there!
