ALASTARO Alastaro race is always very different compared with all the others. Due to our visitors the weekend is very hectic. I was asked if we would use FHRA´s VIP services, but I know my visitors would stay there only a minute or two, and then they would come to see us. You can imagine, if 100 people would come under your awning, few moments later my mun would ask me to make a cup of coffee, somebody would ask to have a snack or something to drink. That´s why we have this special VIP truck for them. Thanks to Jouko Teuronen we had his trailer for the weekend. It is so luxury one! With air-condition and roof balcony... About the race, there were few fuel pump problems. Funny thing, after Sunday´s first round up against Urs and my red light, I can´t really remember anything about the previous runs.... There is a moment in man´s life when you really wish to have rewind button. When I noticed what I did, I would give anything to have a second chance. But I didn´t get. When I was rolling towards the finishing line, I was planning never turn back. I was SO ashamed! All the work my crew had done and Kevin flying all the way from USA, and I took red light..... But being hard on myself I feel I´ll grow and be better driver in the future. Red light was my mistake, but it won´t happend again!  |
